Busy, busy, busy . . .

Students and staff at Horizon commemorated World Autism Awareness Day by forming a puzzle piece on the school's basketball courts. Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys, and is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
This has been a month chock full of events where students got to show off what they’ve learned. In just the last few weeks GESD has held its annual Art Show, Honor Band Concert, and Choral Festival. In between there’s been PE Night, a chess tournament and a track meet. You can keep up by friending us on Facebook, and if you want to see more, check out our Flickr stream.
